The first thing that drew me to this sea turtle was its beauty. The patterns on its shell and the brilliant blue water were simply stunning.

Then my imagination took over.

With the turtle gliding so effortlessly through the wave, I couldn’t help but picture it catching the perfect ride. Suddenly, I was smiling and hearing one of those classic surfer expressions echoing in my mind.

From that moment on, this graceful swimmer became the inspiration for Surf’s Up.

Fun Fact: Sea turtles can ride ocean currents for thousands of miles, using surprisingly little energy as they travel.
