Part two of The River Remembers reflects a season when I wasn’t ready to let go of the memories. I wanted to keep them close, without living in the past. Sea otters keep a favorite rock, carrying it with them to use again and again. I realized I could do the same with my memories. I don’t have to search for them each time. I can simply keep them close
